The Dumb Mommy

Writing this post has been one of the most difficult thing I've done in a while... Between trying to be a good housekeeper, adjusting with the new family and its expectations (that seems accomplished), raising my children with the best I could teach them; I've lost a lot of my actual strength - and I'm (sometimes) scared that I'll end up being a no one.. Anyhow, no more ruining this shot with my whining...

My Little One is a FAN of his Big B, but Mohammad is usually overwhelmed by Ibrahim targeting anything that he put his hands one.. Being a Mom I know that Ibrahim don't mean to takeover the thing (other than when its about ~me~ the Mom), rather he's just trying to be more like Mohammad, or I can say be more of a part of Mohammad's world... He wants to do everything that Mohammad does... that's kinda cliche when you know that Ibrahim is totally admiring Mohammad.

Now comes the "Mommy Part".. I always wanted to be the cool Mommy, someone a child (any child) can have fun with.. With Mohammad I've been able to do much of how I imagined - but since Ibrahim stepped into our world with his wonderment for his brother - and his brother seems to feel like having a breach in his privacy - and me deep in my heart loving both in their own way - I sometimes have to act dumb... I let Mohammad take the lead to explain, or in some cases handle Ibrahim, I become a dumb Mommy.. In the beginning the urge of settling everything quickly by myself was too tempting, but since I figured that its really helping the two bond, I can probably stay dumb a while longer...

These are one of those times when I was trying to be done with some chore, it was Mohammad's time to sleep, while Ibrahim was throwing his regular tantrums to seek someone's attention.. After a while it fell peace and quiet, so I quickly finished off my work and went to look for my mischievous one, finding him snuggled in bed, attentively listening to the story that he probably doesn't understand a word off, while the Big Brother was eagerly explaining everything through illustration to him...

Being a little dumb can yield some good afterall... 💪
